Peters Eyes Port Vale Tie

Speaking to the Shropshire Star, Shrewsbury boss Gary Peters eyed up a potential game against Port Vale:

"We have still got a chance of making progress and we have the incentive of a really good draw as well.. It's another local derby and the draw has given everyone a real incentive and it's something we need to get into.

"It's a chance to play a team from a higher division which are always good ones to be involved in but we have to get the result at Hereford before we think about that.I thought we were the better side again and we played at a high tempo and created an entertaining game at times, especially in the first half we got at them and hit the woodwork a couple of times and if they go in it's a different story.

"Hereford caught us on the break a few times but most of their bits and pieces were of our own doing. But the big thing was that we needed to get better quality into our final pass or cross. On a different day I would have brought on Leo (Fortune-West) but the ball was on the floor most of the time and it wasn't the same as we were pushing late on against Wycombe. Michael Symes was tiring and I thought Andy Cooke could put himself about and get on the end of something like he did at Rochdale."
