Hereford have survived and have not been relegated from National League North.
Despite Aaron Skinner penalty inside eight minutes putting the Bulls ahead, Dan Jarvis and Max Booth scored in two goals in four minutes to give Peterborough the advantage at half time.
As Hereford pushed for the crucial equaliser they needed for safety, Skinner refused to give up on a ball on the right; crossing in for substitute Mikey Lane to head home.
Finishing 2-2, the Bulls needed Curzon to fail to beat Alfreton - which they did.
