Gravesend Axe Six As Finances Tighten

Gravesend have released six players in what appears to be a move to reduce costs.

Bobby Bowry, Jay Saunders, Steve McKimm, Justin Skinner, Andy Drury, and Mark Rawle have all been released. Five were first team regulars but McKimm, Saunders, and Skinner all missed chunks of the season through injury. Striker Rawle was on loan from Woking with a view to a permanent deal but failed to impress, scoring just once in 11 appearances.

The releases seem to be a move to balance the books after the club recorded some very poor gates following their moves towards full time status this season.
