Mendes leaves Hereford to rejoin former club

Midfielder Lassana Mendes, who was offered terms to stay at Edgar Street, has left Hereford.

Bulls boss Paul Caddis revealed the news at tonight's fans forum.

Mendes, who lives in Manchester, is rejoining JD Cymru Premier side Bala Town where he departed last summer to join Hereford.

He made 35 appearances and scored four goals for the Whites last season.

At Friday's event, Caddis said he has tried to stretch the budget by reducing the number of weeks players are paid.

Mendes fell under the pay structure changes and opted to go back to Bala who Caddis thinks only train one day a week.

He left the side last summer after a three-year spell and immediately faced suspension at Hereford after being shown red for a foul he committed in a cup final months before.

His discipline after joining Hereford also saw him miss several games.
