Merthyr Couldn't Match Hereford's Offer For Green Says Manager

Steve Jenkins, manager of Merthyr Town, has said that his club couldn't match the offer made by Hereford FC for Ryan Green.

"Ryan was a leader in our team, a crucial player for us, and we wanted him to stay," said Jenkins as reported by Wales Online. 

"But Hereford were able to make him a good offer and we weren’t able to match it.

"Merthyr have a young squad and Ryan was among the players able to add the experience needed in our group.

"It’s a massive blow to lose him, but it vitally important for Merthyr Town to set a playing budget and stay within that."
