News Round-Up

Wrexham chief executive Don Bircham has blasted Forest Green over the signing of striker Danny Wright, calling them 'a village team with a lad with a few bob'. Bircham says Wright is being paid 50% more by the Gumpers than he was at the Racecourse Ground. Lincoln have signed striker Danny Rowe on a one year deal following his release from Fleetwood. The 24 year old former Stockport man ended the season on loan at Barrow.

Accrington have appointed James Beattie as their new manager. The former Premier League striker has been player-coach at the Crown Ground since November. Luton have signed goalkeeper Elliot Justham from Ryman League side East Thurrock. The 22 year old has signed a two year deal after playing 31 times this season.

Stockport say they have sold over 700 season tickets so far this summer. Adult fans are paying a minimum of £225 for 21 Conf North games next season. Coventry's Supporters Trust has issued a statement calling for the club to remain in the city after members voted against a request from club chief Tim Fisher to work with him in securing a site elsewhere. The local press have also called for a resolution to the matter.

Wrexham have released three players after the opening round of contract talks. Heading the list is veteran defender Chris Westwood, 36, with the two other departures, Declan Walker and Jamie Morton, both youth team graduates. Contracts have been offered to ten others with veteran winger Glen Little yet to be spoken to. Newport boss Justin Edinburgh has collected the Manager of the Month award of the season.

Former Bull John Brough is expected to be named as manager of Bishops Cleeve tonight, replacing Herefordian Alex Sykes. The team ended the season bottom of the Evo-Stik Southern League this term, and will be Brough's first senior management appointment. Motherwell boss Stuart McCall wants to sign former Bulls keeper Craig Samson from rivals St Mirren. Samson is set to replace fellow former Bull Darren Randolph, who is expected to return to English football.

Braintree have signed midfielder Chez Isaac from Conf South side Boreham Wood. The 20 year old former Watford trainee previously had a loan spell at Tamworth prior to his Vicarage Road release last summer.
