Aldershot's Supporters Trust has put out a call to fans to see whether they can raise support for a possible takeover of the club. The club's Administrator put out a futher call yesterday for more interest in the club, with heavy cost-cutting ongoing at the club. They have put Season Tickets on sale, ring-fencing the money in case the club goes bust, while announcing that fans will pay £19 for seats and £17 for terracing next season.
Barry Town have had a request to withdraw from the Welsh League accepted. The request came from absent owner Stuart Lovering but was disputed by the club's Supporters Club, who have been running the club since Lovering's departure. The seven-time Welsh champions' problems started 10 years ago when they were relegated from the top flight with debts of £900,000, but the club has limped on since.
Worcester say that Thursday's 'showdown' talks with the local council and developers St Modwen will decide whether the club will seek voluntary liquidation. They are seeking renegotiation of their deal with St Modwen that has seen the builder drag it's heels over building a new ground. The club faces a crippling £385,000 capital gains tax bill if a new ground isn't built by the end of the year.
Bury fans are pleading for information from the club's board about their financial situation. Club statements a month ago warned the club was days from going bust, but there has been no further news for more than three weeks. The club's players have told fans and the press they are in the dark about their futures, and the club is yet to release it's retained list which has to be done this week. Their repayment of their PFA loan is also due this week, and the club owes tax that has been deferred since March.
