Tributes to Nicky Munn

Hereford United supporter Nicky Munn has died following a car accident last Friday near Hay-on-Wye.

Nicky was well loved at Edgar Street where she helped with catering.

Hereford United vice-chairman Tim Russon told BN how sad everyone at the club was on hearing the news.

"Nicky was everyone's friend. She was full of sunshine and no job was ever too big or too small.

"She loved Hereford United and worked tirelessly over the years to help the club in any way she could.

"You couldn't leave her in the kitchen without a cup of tea in hand.

"She washed, cleaned, cooked for the players and was a big part of the team - one of the family.

"She was a wonderful woman and her passing is the darkest of days.

"Our prayers and hearts go out to her daughter and all her family and friends.

"The memory she leaves is her big beautiful smile, her warmth and her kindness."

Amidst other tributes is one from Harry Pell who said: "RIP Nicky, Hereford has lost an amazing woman, thoughts go out to her family and friends."

Another from Dave Cornell: "Rest in peace Nicky, done everything possible for all Hereford players, fans and staff. Will be sorely missed."

This from former player Sam Gwynne: "RIP Nicky Munn, couldn't ever do enough for us lads when I was at HUFC. Such sad news, will be sorely missed by everyone involved with the club."

Photographer Andy Compton knew her well: "Lovely lady, she always welcomed us press guys with a cuppa, cakes, biscuits and a warm smile."
