Bristol Rovers have had a move for Burton boss Paul Peschisolido rejected by the tiny Canadian.
While Paul Ince remains the bookies' odds-on favourite for the job the Brewers have issued a statement confirming an approach for Peschisolido, who took control at the Pirelli Stadium in 2009 after they secured promotion to the Football League, saying that he had turned down the chance to be interviewed for the job.
There are suggestions from sources around Bristol that any incoming manager will have limited funds to spend on new arrivals, and the popularity of coach Shaun North remaining in charge is rising amongst Pirates fans.
