Tranmere hope to prove Brown wrong

After the first game between the clubs Hereford United keeper Wayne Brown was reported as suggesting that Tranmere could not play any better than they did on that day. Ronnie Moore will hope to prove him wrong this evening at Edgar Street.

"I think we’ll be confident taking them back to Edgar Street. I think that is the best Tranmere can play. But that was nowhere near as good as we can play,” commented Brown.

"We will just have to wait and see what happens on the night,” Moore told the Liverpool Echo.

“The fact is we played well in the first game and really should have put the tie to bed. We had enough chances in the game to have won it by four or five goals but we ended up conceding the first goal and chasing the game.

“They had a magnificent result on Sunday and we know they are a good side going forward. It’s a difficult game for us, no doubt.”
