As part of the build up to this evening FA Cup replay at Edgar Street, Radio Merseyside's Alan Jackson has interviewed Hereford United club historian Ron Parrott.
Jackson asked Parrott a wide range of questions ranging from the formation of the club in 1924, through to Southern League, the John Charles era, the Newcastle games of course, the origin of the nickname "The Bulls", the Graham Turner era, the playing surface and finally the big game itself tonight.
As Parrott is the Bull's Club Historian, Jackson gave him a test question to answer.
"Which club did United replace when they were elected to the Football League?"
Parrott correctly replied that it was Barrow, whom the Bulls replaced after a replay (i.e. tied first and won second ballot). Parrott then suggested that this was a good omen for this evening.
