Johnson Decision Expected Soon

A decision over the future of forward Simon Johnson is expected early this week.

His two month contract, announced on 8th August, is to expire this week leaving Graham Turner to decide whether to offer the forward another deal. The 24 year old has barely featured in the first team with Steve Guinan, Theo Robinson, and Trevor Benjamin all ahead of him in the pecking order.

He has managed just two substitute appearances, coming on in the 85th minute against Yeovil and Morecambe with both wins already in the bag, and is only occasionally named on the bench but has scored in reserve matches against Cardiff and Kidderminster.

At the time of his signing, Graham Turner stated: "He's got an alot to do, he's got an opportunity and he's got to prove to us that he's good enough."

This week will tell if he has done enough to impress the man that signs the cheques.
