Mark Derricott is likely to miss tomorrow's game against Darlington.
However Aaron Skinner will be available after his suspension.
"Aaron Skinner is back from suspension but Mark Derricott is struggling with his back," Hereford manager Paul Caddis told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"We are sending him for a scan so it's unlikely we'll see Mark.
"I spoke to the club the other day about Mark.
"I think we're going to put something out on Mark just in terms of how well he has done.
"He's 19, to play against a full time outfit (Kings Lynn) making his senior debut, I thought he was a credit to himself first and foremost, the club, the people who have worked with him and his family. A special moment for him.
"I was delighted with him, I thought he held his own and more.
"I'm trying to manage young players like Mark, I won't kill him, I won't play him every single week.
"But he's very much part of the plans, the evidence is there.
"He started the first game of the season away against a full time outfit."
