The Conservatives are once again the majority party of Herefordshire Council after today's results.
Having lost majority control since the last election, with 52 of the 53 results completed and the last one set to be re-run, the party holds 29 seats. It's Our County hold 12, with eight Independents, two Greens, and two Liberal Democrats.
Jim Kenyon was returned with the largest majority of the election, with a 1,049 vote lead over his rivals in the Tupsley ward. Other candidates with Hereford FC links racked up a series of third place finishes. Director Hugh Brooks was third in Eign Hill, Roger Goodwin third in College, and HUST committee member Andy Swift was third in Kings Acre.
There was one notable success, with another HUST committee member getting elected to the City Council. Paul Stevens will represent the people on behalf of It's Our County in the Widemarsh ward - which includes the Edgar Street ground.
