News Round-Up

Northampton have signed up winger Toni Silva on loan for the remainder of the season. The teenage Liverpool starlet made such an impact in his debut substitute role that boss Aidy Boothroyd secured his long-term stay before last night's match. Crawley have loaned striker Tyrone Barnett to Peterboro ahead of a summer move claimed to be worth more than £1million. The former Macclesfield man, with the Silkmen expected to benefit from a sell on clause, scored 15 times in 33 games after his £300,000 summer move.

Swindon have loaned striker Lukas Magera to Banik Ostrava for the remainder of the season. The 29 year old former Czech international scored only once in 18 games for the Robins after signing a lucrative two year deal in the summer. Darlington's supporters have named the board for their pending takeover of the club. Amongst the six is former Quakers chairman Steve Weeks.

Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner had to be restrained by stewards when he tried to remonstrate with referee Brendan Malone after last night's loss to Swindon. The veteran manager claimed the Wiltshire official 'bottled' a decision that he claims should have led to his side winning a penalty and the Robins having a man sent off. Accrington have missed out on the signing of Sligo winger Aaron Greene after he opted to sign for Shamrock for family reasons.

Former Stockport owner Brian Kennedy is one of the people to express an interest in buying Rangers. Kennedy still owns the Edgeley Park stadium as well as Sale Sharks rugby side. Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler says he has had 'not one call' about transfer listed pair Dennis Oli and Matt Lawrence. Hessenthaler needs to offload the pair to sign further players.

Accrington boss Paul Cook says he must 'stop the rot' after last night's loss to Crewe. Stanley have scored in only one of their last six games, shipping six goals without reply in Cook's first two games in charge. Former Bulls defender Dean Beckwith says he is happy to go out on loan if he cannot get games with current club Luton. The 28 year old has struggled to get games since Janos Kovacs returned to the club.

With owner George Rolls expected to leave Weymouth for Kettering, fans have raised their eyebrows at the news that management pair Brendon King and Matt Groves have been handed new five year contracts with the club. Bournemouth say they are 'unhurt' after stadium sponsors Seward, a car dealership, went into administration. They agreed a three year six-figure deal last season to rebrand Dean Court.
