Former Bulls striker Alan Connell has told the Swindon Advertiser the Robins will not allow the Bulls to come back like they did at the County Ground in October.
The Robins surrendered a two goal lead, but Connell told the paper it would not happen with the side's current belief:
“The Hereford game is one of those games we have looked back on amongst ourselves and I don’t think that would happen now. We were 2-0 up at half time and ended up drawing. I just don’t think it would happen again, which is a sign of how we have improved as a squad.
“League Two is probably the tightest in English football at the moment and we have the advantage of two games in hand, but it is up to us to make them count. After Hereford we have a few games at home, and our home record is very good so it is a big period coming up.
“It is never easy and you see the big Premiership teams going away to the sides at the bottom of the league and they find it difficult. We have matured as a team after there were question marks about us, so we have to ensure we emphatically answer all of those questions.”
Connell also spoke of his time with the Bulls, scoring nine goals in 33 games during the 08/09 season:
“I really enjoyed it, it was a good club with really nice people. The manager was Graham Turner who was also the chairman, and they have really good supporters. I really enjoyed it there because I played a lot of games and scored a few goals. I played a different role in a 3-4-1-2 formation and I was the one in the hole so had a lot of tracking back to do.
“But it was a good year for me and it really helped me kick on which I will always be grateful for, but going there on Saturday will all be about Swindon Town and picking up three points.”
Connell has scored six times in the League for the Robins this season, but started in only seven of nineteen appearances.
