Two Bulls fans are to tackle the London Marathon in April.Club photographer Steve Niblett found out on Christmas Eve he was to run on behalf of the Hereford Couriers club, his seventh marathon in total. He will run on behalf of two charities, Herefordshire Carers Support and the Adam Stansfield Foundation.
Adam’s parents, Gig and Roger, are guests of Hereford United at the Swindon game, along with representatives from Herefordshire Carers with 2 special clients, Nathan and Oliver. With a photo opportunity at half time, Hereford fans Tom Milward and Chris Oleksy will show Gig and Roger the flag bearing Adam’s name which they take to all away matches.
To follow Nibbo’s training blog or to make a donation, please go to www.nibbo.co.uk – Last Sunday Nibbo and Jamie Pitman lined up for the Muddy Woody 6 race, after some pre-run shirt pulling Jamie was the victor. ‘He’s got 14 years on me and I‘d run 18 miles on the Friday’ Nibbo quoted from the book of sour grape excuses.
Meanwhile, fan Josh Bazaretti-Scott is running in his first marathon. The former Cathedral School pupil is currently at university in Manchester and is running with friend Joe McFarlane in aid of the charity Sense, who support deafblind people.
Josh will be running in the Silverstone half-marathon next month in preparation before the big event on April 22nd.
