News Round-Up

Bury have lost the services of loan striker Chris Holroyd after he was recalled by Brighton. He played four times for the Shakers, but did not feature in either of their last two games. Northampton keeper Chris Dunn will miss a couple of weeks after needing 14 stitches to a head injury sustained just minutes into their loss to Bury at the weekend. The Cobblers will turn to loan stopper Steve Collis, who has played for boss Gary Johnson at Yeovil, Bristol City, and Peterboro.

Crewe will allow assistant manager Neil Baker to work part-time with Leek Town, where he has taken up a Directors role. Baker is full time head of player recruitment at Gresty Road, having left Leek for Crewe 16 years ago, but will retain both roles. Burton boss Paul Peschisolido has told the local press he is running out of ideas to keep Burton in the League: “Everything is wrong at the moment. I’ve contemplated everything and nothing seems to work.”

Bournemouth have sacked goalkeeper Jon Stewart for repeated breaches of club discipline. The 22 year old former Portsmouth trainee played three times this season, but was suspended for two weeks last month for reportedly missing training and damaging a hotel room.
