Mann kept Hythe in the Game

Hythe Town's Gary Mickelborough scored their goal at Edgar Street this afternoon. Later he talked to Radio Kent and praised the performance of goalkeeper Kieron Mann.

"I'm just happy to have got our goal," said the part-timer who is a town planner by day.

"It put us back in the game, but we're really disappointed with the first half.

"All the lads thought we could have done a lot better but we came out and worked our socks off in the second half.

"If it had gone that way in the first half, who knows.

"It could have been a cricket score but there was some good keeping from Mann. He was outstanding, he's our mister reliable.

"We didn't want our cup run to come to an end today, but it's an achievement getting here."
