Keepers Travel With Grimsby

Both of Grimsby's keepers have travelled with their squad overnight ahead of today's game at Edgar Street.

Senior keeper Nick Colgan came through training yesterday OK, but both he and reserve Leigh Overton will face fitness tests before a final decision. The Mariners travelled with an 18 man squad missing veterans Lee Peacock and Robbie Stockdale, but did include Paul Linwood and Tommy Wright despite neither being 100% fit.

Mariners' boss Neil Woods told the Grimsby Telegraph: "Nick and Leigh have both travelled and we'll have a final check before the game. We don't think there will be a problem, though.

"Nick has done as much as he can without playing a game and there's been no reaction so he's hopeful he'll be fine. He took it step by step over the last two days but with the reassuring scan results, Nick is confident he can play and Leigh is also on the mend as back-up.

"Hereford have done well in the last six weeks under Graham Turner. He's got a couple of loan players in and they've put in a big effort to get clear of danger at the bottom and appear to be safe now.

"But we've prepared well and are confident after Monday's result. The players showed their character at Accrington and showed they are up for the fight."

The Mariners came from 2-0 down at half time to beat Stanley 3-2 with three goals in six minutes for their first win in three games.

Meanwhile Hereford United manager Graham Turner has hinted that he might change the starting eleven this afternoon.

A few of the squad are showing signs of tiredness and he is minded to bring in a couple of players that haven't started recently.
