Preview: Shrewsbury vs Bulls

The Bulls travel north, up the A49 and into the wilderness of the Prostar, for a match against Shrewsbury on Saturday.

Whilst the Gay Meadow was not a happy hunting ground for the Bulls, they boast a 100% record at the new ground. Last season's 2-1 win is one of three straight wins for the Bulls against the Shrews. Earlier this season it was also a 2-1 win at Edgar Street, with an early Ryan Valentine penalty and a Gavin McCallum strike earning the points for the Bulls.

Shrewsbury are gearing themselves up for another play-off disappointment this term. A mediocre start has become a steady climb up the table, and they now lie fifth in the table. Home form is indifferent, however, with just seven wins from fifteen games in the League and a cup exit to Staines. They come into Saturday's game with a similar record to the Bulls, with 1-0 and 2-0 wins coming after a loss.

The Bulls continue with a small squad, and a string of injury problems to defenders. With four players all struggling for fitness this week, the Bulls will travel north with 20 available bodies. Gavin McCallum, who has scored four times in his five League starts this term, will hope to continue his good form and secure the Bulls' first double of the season.

Shrewsbury Town vs Hereford United, Prostar Stadium, Saturday 13th February, 3.00pm.
