Need to improve away form - Trewick

Nobody is more aware than Hereford United manager John Trewick that his side needs to improve its away form. And he says there is no better place to do it than at Shrewsbury on Saturday.

The Bulls have only won once on their travels this season. That was at Northampton on December 1st.

Trewick told BBC Hereford and Worcester that he knows supporters are very keen to win derby matches such as the one on Saturday but he's uncertain about the players attitude to derbies.

"For the manager you always want to do well against the clubs around you.

"I'm not quite sure it means the same to players anymore because they spend a year at one place, move on, and then eighteen months at another place, and move on. I don't know.

"Certainly for supporters it's absolutely crucial to do well in your local derbies game.

"We are all aware of the significance of these derby games."

Meanwhile Trewick feels a decent following at the Prostar Stadium will help the Bulls.

"We know what we have to do and it's just a case of going out and doing it, so hopefully a lot of our supporters will head to Shrewsbury to watch the match.

"We are hoping there will be a big crowd there and that will create a decent atmosphere.

"It would be pleasing for everybody to go away to Shrewsbury and get a good result."
