The gap for the Bulls to make up is now down to five points after results at the wrong end of League One largely went the right way. Leyton Orient's 1-0 win over second bottom Crewe stopped the gap being four points, as Swindon drew 1-1 with leaders Leicester. Brighton lost 2-0 at home to Carlisle to slip back into the drop zone, and Northampton slide into view after losing 2-1 at Oldham.
At the top Leicester are nine points clear, and sixteen inside the automatic promotion zone, with MK Dons seven clear of third place following their 3-1 win over MK Dons. None of the top eight moved in the table, with Leeds losing to Huddersfield 1-0 and Scunthorpe losing 2-0 at home to Bristol Rovers. Millwall drew 2-2 at Stockport, and Southend beat Tranmere 2-1. In the other match Walsall beat Colchester 2-0.
In League Two Brentford are three points clear at the top after their 2-0 win over Port Vale and Wycombe lost 1-0 at Bradford. Shrewsbury scored twice for only the second time in 14 matches to beat Chesterfield 2-1, while Chester lost 3-1 at Morecambe. Bournemouth's win over Accrington puts them within five points of Barnet and Grimsby, who both lost today.
In the Conference just six matches took place due to postponements. Histon cut Burton's lead to 'just' sixteen points with a 4-0 win over Salisbury, while Weymouth lost 3-0 at home to third placed Stevenage.
