News Round Up

Ex-Bull Neil Mackenzie has now won five straight games on Channel 4's Countdown. If he wins the maximum of eight games he will be named an 'Octochamp'. Scunthorpe have signed defender Kenny Milne on a free transfer from SPL side Falkirk. Hartlepool have signed released Man Utd midfielder Richie Jones.

Crewe have rejected a pair of £1million bids from Ipswich and Bristol City for striker Nicky Maynard. The Railwaymen want double that fee for the 21 year old. The new Halifax have been given a boost with their main sponsors sticking with them despite their relegation. The old club have sold striker Jon Shaw to Rochdale for an undisclosed fee that will go to pay off creditors.

Ex-Bull Tony Pennock has relinquished his role as boss of the Wales semi-pro side now that he is involved full time with Swansea. Simon Travis is the latest of a growing band of ex-Bulls at Solihull Moors after leaving bankrupt Nuneaton. He joins coach Rob Elmes and Jake Sedgemore at Damson Park.
