Yesterday Mark Bond was one of the mascots leading Hereford's players onto the pitch.
Earlier along with a large group of friends he had spent a couple of hours in pre-match hospitality.
Originally the plan was for Bond to be a mascot for a home game in November that was postponed.
He appeared rather nervous before coming onto the pitch but once on the pitch seemed to enjoy the experience.
He was comforted by club photographer Andy Walkden before joining the officals.
And his presence was noticed by the BBC H&W commentary team of Chris Williams and Terry Goodwin.
CW "Actually see that the mascot for Hereford today is somebody celebrating his 60th birthday.
"He's bigger than the referee and his two assistants and he's got a fan club away to our left.
"Well they need an extra man on the bench today, may be he should be the one."
TG "I'm not sure he's been through the Christmas training regime Paul Caddis would have quite hoped for but you never know.
"If they get tired later on may be he will get an opportunity."
CW "Well he's got 60 on the back of his full Hereford kit."
