Every time he goes to a home game at Edgar Street he buys a fifty-fifty ticket and until recently, like most of us, has never won.
But Steve Payne's luck recently changed with three wins starting on New Years Day with the visit of Notts County, followed by the visit of Shrewsbury and finally, for now, when Barnet came to play.
In all Steve has won £477. Not a bad return at £1 per ticket.
"I've been doing it for donkey's years and never won it. Then this year it has all changed," he told the Hereford Times.
"Sometimes my friends will buy their tickets before or after me to try and win it but it does not seem to matter."
Tickets for the fiffy-fifty draw will be available, as ever, this afternoon at Edgar Street.
Meanwhile Bulls News has been taken to task by several supporters for an article last Thursday entitled 'Still some Shrewsbury Tickets Available'.
With hindsight I fully accept that the article was not well written and fell short of the standards we try to aim for.
