The Bulls travel to Saltergate on Monday night for a televised League Two fixture.
It will be three days short of 13 years since the two teams last met, with Chesterfield completing the double over the Bulls in a 2-0 win at Edgar Street. One of the scorers that day was current Bolton forward Kevin Davies, scoring one of his first senior goals. In twelve trips to Saltergate, the Bulls have won only once and drawn twice - and are looking to end a run of six straight defeats at the ground.
Chesterfield's top scorer Jack Lester is looking to become the fastest man in Chesterfield history to score 20 goals if he scores against the Bulls on Monday. His 19 goal tally from 24 games for the season is 12 more than any of his team-mates. Their home form has been mixed so far, with just three wins from ten games and conceding and scoring about two goals a game.
The Bulls will be defending a ten match unbeaten run away from home that has run since the end of September, having scored in every League and Cup away match this season with 27 goals in 15 games. Both Trevor Benjamin and Theo Robinson have scored six goals away from home with Robinson looking for his first goal in five games.
Chesterfield vs Hereford United, Saltergate, Monday January 21st, 7.45pm, Live on Sky Sports.
