Supporters desert Cheltenham

Cheltenham Town will be disappointed with both the result and the attendance at their FA Cup game against Scunthorpe this evening.

The game, said to be a dire affair, finished goalless.

Just 2,721 bothered to turn up at the game and 294 of those were from Scunthorpe.

Former Hereford front man Steve Guinan only made the subs bench for Cheltenham and played no part in the game.

Scunthorpe are currently without a manager since the departure of Brian Laws. Nigel Adkins is in charge at present and will probably be pleased to have a replay.

Hereford United and its supporters will be taking a keen interest in matters at Scunthorpe as Neil MacKenzie, currently on loan at Edgar Street, is from the Iron.

Success in the replay as well as the League in their next couple of games may improve Hereford's chances of retaining MacKenzie for more than a month.
