Chester Sign Keeper

Chester have signed ex-Kidderminster goalkeeper Jon Danby on a two year deal.

Danby, 22, spent five years as a pro at Kidderminster and was destined for bigger things last close season, being touted for a move to Man City, but nothing arose and a disappointing season this time round led to the player being released.

The move means Chester are likely to release one of their two other senior keepers - Wayne Brown and Chris Mackenzie. Mackenzie is still negotiating a contract at the Deva Stadium, while Brown still has 12 months left. Either keeper would likely be of interest to Graham Turner in summer dealings.
