Non-League Day Working With Prostate Cancer UK

All National League fixtures to showcase limited edition pennant to mark 10-year milestone for charity working with Non-League Day on Saturday 23 March.

For the last decade the leading men’s health charity, Prostate Cancer UK, has worked side by side with the iconic annual football matchday experience, raising funds and awareness for and about the most common cancer in men.

This year, Vanarama National League, Vanarama National League South and North clubs hosting matches on the day will receive a limited edition matchday pennant marking the 10-year anniversary, showcasing their support for the leading men’s health charity and continuing a theme of activity on the annual day since 2014.

National League clubs can also request a Prostate Cancer UK fundraising pack and match day communications by emailing football@prostatecanceruk.org or calling 020 3310 7091.

In that time the charity has worked with the National League its sponsors Vanarama, as well as hundreds of clubs. They have reached hundreds of thousands of men as well as raising more than £250,000, attracting national media attention in the process. And this year will be no different.

1 in 8 men will be affected with prostate cancer; the disease is curable if caught early, but early-stage prostate cancer often has no symptoms, so it is vital that men know their risk. Men are at higher risk if they are over 50, Black or have a father or brother who has had prostate cancer.

National League clubs and fans can find out more about getting involved by emailing football@prostatecanceruk.org or calling 020 3310 7091

Hereford FC are at home on March 23rd. Farsley Celtic are the visitors.
