Paul Caddis has been booked three times already this season |
Hereford FC have said manager Paul Caddis won't be in the dugout for Saturday's FA Cup clash against League Two Gillingham.
Earlier today, the club said only around 200 tickets were left for home areas of the ground for what seems a highly-anticipated tie.
But because Caddis has already been shown three yellow cards this season, the latest during the 2-1 win at Chorley, he's got a one-match touchline ban.
A statement on the official club website said: "Paul will be able to deliver his pre-match and half-time team talks in the dressing room as usual, but will not be allowed in the dugout before, during or after the match."
Instead, he will be in the Merton Stand and be communicating with the bench.
Supporters have questioned the FA's rules though as in his last interview, Paul Caddis suggested the FA Cup didn't count for players' bookings.
It's because Aurio Teixeira has already been booked five times this season. Caddis said it takes seven days to kick in so he was able to play at Chorley but would then miss Brackley. That game is Tuesday, after the FA Cup.
Either way, it means Adam Rooney will be the one giving orders from the dugout on Saturday.
That's provided he doesn't play, with Hereford still short on numbers because of injuries.
