Hereford United’s greatest ever striker Dixie McNeil features in a new documentary on Wrexham. Dixie signed for a bargain £15,000 from Lincoln by John Sillett in 1974 scored 85 goals in 129 games. His goals powered Hereford into what is now the Championship, perhaps his most famous goal was his sliding along the ground cheeky hand ball which was analysed on Match of the Day.
He features throughout the new documentary on Wrexham who signed him for a bargain £60,000 in 1977. Dixie’s goals leading them to promotion to the old Division One.
