Hale Comments After Trouble Last Friday

Hereford chairman Jon Hale has said that any supporter involved in football violence will receive a lengthy ban.

His comments come after reports of trouble both before and after last Friday's game against Telford.

However there were no reports of trouble inside the ground.

According to YourHerefordshire prior to kick off, local residents reported seeing groups of Telford supporters arriving in the city, with incidents reported outside pubs in the city centre.

This escalated after the final whistle, with many routes temporarily closed whilst Police attempted to disperse supporters from around the ground.

Hale said it was disappointing to hear about trouble given the turnout of families and youngsters at the game.

"Whilst early reports suggest that there was minimal involvement from Hereford fans, it is worth repeating that we will not tolerate any antisocial behaviour and certainly no violence here at Edgar Street.

"Anyone found to be involved in football violence will receive lengthy bans."
