Former Hereford striker John Mills was back in the city yesterday. He was playing for Royal Wootton Bassett Town who were defeated by Westfields 3-1.

Darlington manager Alun Armstrong is recovering after surgery for a strangulated umbilical hernia. He's unlikely to be well enough to take charge next Saturday when they play Hereford.

Whilst Hereford's FA Cup game at Merstham survived the weather yesterday, nearby Aldershot had their game against Wrexham abandoned six minutes into the second half because of a waterlogged pitch.
