BN goes back four years for this morning's archive article and the return of Steve Jenkins to Edgar Street.
Hereford FC have this morning confirmed that Steve Jenkins has joined the club as assistant manager for the coming season.
Since
his last spell with the Bulls in the 2013/14, he has had two successful
seasons with Merthyr Town, firstly securing promotion from the Southern
League Division 1 South and West, and more recently the Southern League Red Insure Cup, which the club hadn't won in more than 60 years.
Speaking about the appointment, manager Pete Beadle told the official site:
“The departure of Matt Bishop
obviously left a huge hole to fill. There was only really one person who
I thought could fill his shoes, and that is Jenks.
“The role of Assistant Manager is
a vital cog in a football team. Matt played a huge part in our success
this season, but I am confident that Steve has exactly what it takes to
continue the great work.
“I’ve known Jenks for some time
now, we are very close, and I can’t wait to start working with him again
as we plan for next season.
“Jenks brings with him a great
attitude, and also a fantastic knowledge of the game. I’m delighted that
he has accepted the offer to return to Edgar Street.”
Welcome back Jenks.
