On this day in 1990 Hereford United secured a 3-3 draw against Scunthorpe at Glandford Park. The game is memorable for the fact that Ian and Gary Bowyer appeared in the same team, the first time a father and son had played together in the Football League since Alec & David Herd did for Stockport in 1951.
The Bowyer’s also played together on the 1st May 1990 in a 2-0 win over Aldershot Town.
