With a huge fanfare John Sillett returned to Edgar Street, and it was all sunshine and rainbows to start with as Hereford topped the league in mid September, unfortunately it all went wrong and the club ended up 17th in Division Four. There was success though in the FA Cup as the club reached the 4th round of the competition.
