Hereford Need Some Luck Said Harris

Head of Football Tim Harris says Hereford need some luck to get them back on track, like a goal going in off someone's back.

He said that he won't make excuses and the football isn't up to standard, but the lack of inexperienced players is an issue.

"I don't want this to be taken in the wrong context, but we could do with a little bit of luck," said Harris.

"We could do with one coming off someone's backside, someone getting sent off or us getting a penalty. The more you go into it, the more fans will be looking at me saying 'look Tim, it's nothing but excuses because it's all about results'.

"We've got to stay strong, hold our heads up, take the flack and move on."

Harris feels that Hereford need more experienced players in the side, perhaps like Mike Symons who came off the bench this evening to make his competitive debut this season.

But alongside Marc Richards, Tim Harris has helped bring in seven new players to the club, but the eldest of them is still only 23.

He's confident more are to come.

"I'm confident we can bring one or two more experienced players in.

"That's what we desperately need because you've all seen the last few games and the quality of some of the opposition and we're lacking that.

"We've had our fair share of injuries, but it was great to see Mike Symons back on the pitch today.

"He's a physical presence who gives us a platform to go forward to, but I don't want to talk about the football because at the end of the day we've got to win football matches.

"Nothing's going to please the fans, no matter what I say or what I do unless we win football matches."
