Upwardly Mobile Hereford

Several national newspapers have mentioned Hereford's draw at Fleetwood yesterday.

This is from The Sunday Times:

'The name Hereford will return to the third round draw tomorrow after the club that rose from the ashes of the competition's greatest giantkillers drew 1-1 at League One Fleetwood.

Hereford FC now reside in the seventh tier of the football pyramid but are upwardly mobile.

A money spinning replay and a possible glamorous third-round tie would be a further boost to the club who are not yet three years old.

Calvin Dinsley, a late replacement for Rob Purdie, who was injured in the warm-up, put the Southern League Premier side in front after 23 minutes against a team 89 places above them.

Devante Cole pulled the league side back level six minutes later.'

A reporter from the Sun was also at the game and interviewed Peter Beadle afterwards.
