Hereford FC directors remain tight-lipped as to why Phil Eynon has left the board. Since it's formation the club has had 11 directors. From the initial seven, three have stood down. And one who joined last year only stayed for sixteen months.
First to go was Hugh Brooks, second was former chairman Jon Hales, then recently Mike Cole who was only appointed in April 2016 and finally Phil Eynon who quit on September 25th.
Whilst in the case of the first three directors reasons why they resigned were made public, nothing has been revealed why Eynon has stood down.
Chairman Ken Kinnersley noted Eynon's departure in Saturday's match programme.
"I have the utmost respect for Phil and he has served both club and company exceptionally well during the time I have been involved with the HFC Board.
"In my various roles in the club I always valued his advice and guidance and I'm delighted he will still be around should we need his opinion.
"His ability to assimilate and retain facts never ceased to amaze me and this coupled with his common sense and excellent and sometime passionate powers of expression made him a valuable member of the board."
Eynon is an accountant'. His 'replacement' on the board Peter Churchus is also an accountant.
Whilst Eynon's departure from the board was only confirmed by the club last Monday, it seems likely that his decision to leave was made some weeks earlier given a 'replacement' was announced so quickly afterwards.
Last Saturday Eynon was with other directors watching the game.
