First Silverware Of The Season

Captain Jay Richmond With The Giantkillers Cup
Jamie Pitman, manager of the Hereford FC under 18's, spoke to BN about his side 3-1 win over Pegasus Juniors in the HFA Giantkillers Cup earlier this evening.

"The boys have done really well this evening, they've come on in the six months I've been involved with them.

"They are a really good group of lads with a number of players in there who have been involved with the first team.

"It's been a really good season and this hopefully tops it off for them."

It's the first silverware for the new club. Hopefully the Seniors can collect some cups as well.

"They are going well and we all hope that they do exactly what they wanted to do at the start of the season and get themselves promoted and they've got a great trip down to Wembley as well."

Peter Beadle recently signed two UITC youngsters.

"Rory Huntbach is an under 16 but he's been playing with us pretty much all season. He's shown lots and lots of great qualities. He's been training with the first team recently and Beads sees some really good things in him. Potentially he could be an excellent player. He's a centre midfield player.

"Max Harris he's got a bit of a sore back so didn't play this evening. He hasn't been involved with us loads as he's been involved with the first team training nights which has been beneficial for him."

How many games have the U18's got left this season?

"We haven't many more, two or three, we've got Bromyard on Monday. They are all league fixtures."
