Peter Beadle Making a Point During The First Half Of This Afternoon's Match |
The referee gave Hereford FC a penalty after Carlos Moriera was brought down. The referee and his assistants had three or four stewards with them as they left the pitch as the Shepshed management team continued protesting about the decision.
"Although they are feeling a little bit hard done by with the penalty, I thought they were excellent in their workrate," said Beadle.
"But we've had enough clear cut chances to win the game.
"I think in the end a justified result which probably came about in a way they are not too happy about."
Shepshed scored just after half time.
"You want to get back on terms as quickly as you can, the longer the game goes on the more hope it gives them to hang on to it.
"The fact we bounced back pretty quick was great, another great finish and a great move.
"Getting the penalty was nice and obviously we saw it out in the end.
"A couple of hair-raising moments at the end, but we showed again we are getting better at defending set-pieces, corners, things like that and we kept them out at the end."
