News Round-Up


Former Portsmouth midfielder Johnny Ertl has been elected to the club's Supporters Trust. The Austrian retired from playing in the summer and has completed a FA course in corporate governance, while also writing his Masters degree dissertation on insolvency in football clubs.

Torquay have lost two more board members from their summer takeover with Vice Chairman Ron Peterson and his wife Carole stepping down. The ten strong consortium that took over the club in June is now down to six, with Chief Executive Steve Breed saying the club are 'making headway' with the employment claims that are reported to be threatening the club's existence.

Halifax have axed manager Neil Aspin after a run of just two wins in their last 25 games. The Shaymen are one place off the bottom of the National League table, with only Kidderminster below them. Former Bulls trialist Dan McDonald has moved to Southern League South & West side Evesham United from Monmouth. 

Dunkirk have lost the services of Kevin Hemagou after the forward joined Step 4 side Belper Town after a seven day approach was waived, having played in all 10 of Dunkirk's games this season.
