The
FA is pleased to announce that Herefordshire FA has been awarded the
Foundation Level of the Standard for Equality for Sport.
The
Equality Standards for Sport is a Nationally recognised framework that
assists CFAs with embedding equality
at the highest level of its organisation, and communicating and sharing
its commitment with its staff and stakeholders. It also provides a
framework to review how a CFA is organised around equality in relation
to its service delivery, workforce, policies,
procedures and compliance against the Equality Act 2010.
The achievements also support key tactics and targets under Football’s Inclusion and Anti-Discrimination
Action Plan 2013-17.
On notification of the award Jim Lambert said:
“We
are a County that is committed to leading change, with equality, being
at the heart of all of what we do.
We have some challenging years ahead and with the demographics of
Herefordshire. We need to ensure that we lead the way and offer the
benchmark for others to aspire towards.”
Jim Lambert, Chief Executive Officer for Herefordshire FA
Roger Goodwin said:
“Herefordshire
FA is delighted to have achieved the Foundation Level of the National
Standards for Equality in
Sport. Achieving the standard has helped build on existing good
practice in equality and also embed equality at every level within the
organisation.”
