No doubt you've been starved of live football
like us, so why not join us in North East London for this Essex Senior
Team league match at the Old Spotted Dog ground. They've developed
somewhat of a cult following over recent years with
the "Clapton Ultras" forming in 2012 from of a group of locals
disengaged and disillusioned from modern football. Interesting fact -
they were the first British club to play in continental Europe in 1890!
Saturday 18th April - Dulwich Hamlet vs Maidstone
If you thought Clapton had a cult following then
you're in for a treat at Dulwich. Another club formed in the 19th
Century, the team from South London boasts alumni including Peter
Crouch, Ian Wright and Alan Pardew. Their fans are known
as "The Rabble" with 2,850 of them attending a match in September on
annual Non-League Day. Instead of an overpriced and luke warm hot dog at
the Emirates, why not join us for a locally brewed craft beer behind
the goal for this Isthmian Premier match!
Two articles on them worth reading here:
