Torquay chairman and majority owner Thea Bristow is to leave the club at the end of the season. Bristow, who has been in charge for five years since husband Paul passed away, says she will leave the club debt free. The family are said to have put £3million into the side, and son Alan will also quit the board at the same time. The Gulls attracted just 1,221 to last night's home loss to Chester - their worst gate of the season.
Northampton players were robbed of cars, wallets, phones, and watches in a theft from the club's training ground while the players were training two weeks ago. A Mercedes and VW Scirocco were among the cars stolen, while Breitling and Tag Heuer watches also went missing. One car was recovered last week, with a public call for information being put out yesterday.
Kidderminster coach Mark Creighton says some of their squad 'have thrown the towel in' on this season. The comments came after a 3-1 home loss to Eastleigh last night in front of less than 1,200 home fans, Creighton, a former Harriers player, said some players 'were taking the mickey' out of manager Gary Whild. It has also been reported that current captain Josh Gowling rejected a revised contract with the club that would have seen his pay cut.
Coventry's Supporters Trust has again called on club owners SISU to sell up and leave. Sky Blues Trust says the club's latest accounts, which show SISU converting nearly £61m of claimed debt into shares, block any serious offer of new investment into the club. They also claim that SISU's true investment into the club is less than half the claimed figure.
Former Bulls trialist, and current Newport striker, Chris Zebroski is reported to have been released on bail after being charged with assault and attempted robbery following a drunken brawl last month. Newspaper reports also say the former Torquay and Bristol Rovers man is also due to face Court in April over a road rage incident that has seen him banned from Swindon until the hearing. Newport themselves have declined to comment on the stories.
