Le Tissier Hopes Hereford Can 'Turn Itself Around'

Well-known former footballer Matt Le Tissier was guest speaker at Westfields' annual sportsmans dinner last night in Hereford.

During his speech he had a few words to say about the situation at Hereford United to the 330 capacity crowd:

"We are aware of what has gone on in terms of the demotion and the financial troubles certainly haven't helped the club," said Le Tissier as reported by the Hereford Times.

"It is a big shame when any football club gets into trouble and I hope the club can turn itself around and get some people involved in the club who can run it properly and perhaps get Hereford back to where they belong.

"As a Southampton fan, we went through financial troubles a few years back and there were some low points.

"But we have managed to turn ourselves around and hopefully Hereford can do the same.
"I wish the fans all the very best."
