Nuneaton say manager Kevin Wilkin has left the club.
The news comes just 24 hours after club chief Ian Neale said they had received no approach from Wrexham, however the bookies continued to have Wilkin as their odds-on favourite.
Wilkin had spent five and a half years at the reformed club, winning three promotions before taking the part-timers into the play-off picture this term.
