Barnet moved from their traditional Underhill home and now play six miles away at the Hive Complex.

The Hive has a capacity of 5100 including just less than 3500 seated.  Visiting fans are mainly housed in the covered North Terrace with up to 350 seats being made available in part of the West Stand.  Admission for the terrace is believed to be £17 for adults and £9 for concessions (over 64, U19 and full time students).  For the seats, it is £20 and £12.

HUISA – Departs from Radford’s at 8.30am (Ledbury 8.50am) with a fare of £23 (non-members £25.  Seats can be booked via The Club office (08442 761939).

BY CAR – Oxford, M40 to join the M25 (sign Watford).  Leave the M25 at J19 to join the A41 (sign Watford).  Continue on the A41 following signs for Central London/Watford.  At the junction (roundabout) with the A410 take the third exit onto the A410 – Spur Road (sign Harrow/Stanmore).  At the next small roundabout turn left at the Esso Garage/McDonalds towards Edgware. After passing through a set of traffic lights with the Masons Arms on one corner and then a Peugeot Garage on the left then at the next set of traffic lights turn right into Camrose Avenue. The entrance to the stadium is down this road on the right.  Distance is about 140 miles and you should allow three hours fifteen minutes.  PARKING – There is a 350-spce car park at the ground costing £5 per car.

POSTCODE for The HIVE is HA8 6AG.

TUBE – Canons Park station (Jubilee line) is a ten-minute walk from the ground.

ALEHOUSES – This is our first visit to The Grand Duchy of Edgware so the following is from The Ground Guide website There is the Hive Bar at the stadium but this is for home fans only. However alcohol is made available to away supporters inside the stadium, in both the seating and terraced areas. The nearest pub is Moranos on Station Road, only a short walk from Canons Park Underground Station. However although it does show Sky Sports it is quite a small bar and may be not suitable for large groups of fans.

Quite close to Kingsbury Tube Station there is a Wetherpoons pub called JJ Moons (which will be familiar to many who have traveled to Wembley Stadium which is not far away). If traveling on the Jubilee Line from Central London, then Kingsbury is only two stops before Canons Park. The address of the pub is 553 Kingsbury Road. Simply turn left out of the station and the pub is down on the left.

CHIP SHOP – Mr Chippy on Handle Parade which off Whitchurch Lane near the Masons Arms Pub (probably best not to risk the Pub).

Why couldn’t they stay at Underhill, I liked the Red Lion.
