Jim Gannon has been sacked as manager at Stockport, much to the fans' disgust.
The Irishman has retained untouchable status amongst the fans despite the side's slide into the Conference relegation zone, taking just four points from the last 24.
The immediate response on their message boards was outrage, with fans calling for the board - and outspoken Gannon critic Lord Peter Snape - to quit the club. That board appointed a new CEO to the club earlier today.
